Worth Waiting For

March 16, 2015

After two canceled starts because of track conditions, Dunbrody made the most of his first race today with an impressive win against a talented field. Dunbrody, bred to run classic distances, was sent to the post in a six furlong sprint and was parked between horses for the first fractions of the race. Approaching the turn for home, Dunbrody was widest of all but ran down a highly regarded Asmussen horse with strong experience. He also ran down a Wayne Lucas horse with three prior 70 plus Beyer figures who had a third in a Grade I to his credit to capture the win.
