Zayat: American Pharoah to Travers

Dear Partners and Friends,

Greetings from Donegal House/Saratoga Springs.

This morning Ahmed Zayat announced that his decision is to run American Pharoah in the Travers here at Saratoga on August 29. Zayat says he has made it clear to Bob Baffert what he wants but Baffert has not yet commented. Dale Romans thinks Baffert will make the final decision.

This is not perfect timing for anyone, Keen Ice included (only four weeks of rest), but we will now point to what could be a truly historic race.

If you have not purchased tickets on Stubhub.com or another ticket site you might want to move quickly. Hotel rooms are available in Albany, NY (30 minutes away) for under $200.
