Wow!

Derby Dreams VI is ON THE BOARD.  Two year old Danny Boy dazzled a large and (for Ellis) very talented field to win by three lengths going a mile on the grass. Danny Boy trailed by just over ten lengths through much of the race but then moved on the leaders effortlessly and in the words of the chart writer "swept by the leaders."  Absolutely eye popping!

This colt has proved to be all we thought he would be as Miguel Mena rode the colt confidently and comfortably.

Danny Boy will now run next in either the With Anticipation at Saratoga or the Iroquois at Churchill Downs. Currently leaning to the latter as he would not have to travel and would compete for Derby Points. Besides, remember how much fun that was last year? Of course we won't get 25-1 on this boy.

Just saw the flash on the wires where track observers compared Danny Boy's debut to that of Ride on Curlin and Medal Count last year. High cotton!

All I know is that is as fine a first out as we have ever had......and the upside is spectacular!
