Dear Partners and Friends,

Today is a day you all richly deserve. Because of your belief in what we do, we find ourselves again on horse racing's biggest stage. As Ahmed Zayat would be the first to tell you, the key to winning one of these races is having enough chances at it. FYI: As has been widely reported this week Ahmed says he bought 252 yearlings two years ago. He spent 64.2 million dollars. We bought eight and spent $120,000 on Keen Ice ;).

I want to thank Dale Romans for the job he has done with this horse. Dale's belief in Ice has never wavered and he is convinced we will win today. The horse comes into the race in perfect shape dying to get at it. Ice pulled so hard on exercise rider Fastino during yesterday's gallop that he wore a raw spot on Fastino's hand. A first. Ice is ready.

Finnegan has had a great month of training. If the turf is dry we expect him to make a lot of noise.

From the bottom of my nostalgic heart I want to thank each and every one of you for making this journey possible. And now, as Ray Smith likes to say, "Why not us?!"

I thought I'd quickly share a piece of communication I received yesterday.

I received the message below from Jeff Seder who is Zayat's lead bloodstock adviser. From their lips to the Lord's ear!

Below is an email received from Jeff Seder, Senior Bloodstock Advisor to Ahmed Zayat. Thought you would enjoy it!

"I did the velocity decay logarithmic fatigue curve stuff I do, and if there's a fast enough pace up front. I think the only one who can really take advantage of it is Keen Ice. So, even though obviously I'm on the Zayat team for this one, Good Luck!"
