PINCH ME

Dear Partners and Friends,

IRISH YOU WELL will continue on the comeback trail running in the Grade III, $150,000 Ben Ali Stakes (Race 5, Irish is #6 of 6) on Saturday at Keeneland. Post time is 2:38 p.m. EDT, 1:38 CDT.

We actually cross-entered in the Stake at Oaklawn but our team decided that Keeneland was the better spot.

KEEN ICE UPDATE:

You can ignore the Lexington stakes at Keeneland Saturday. There is no one in the field that can jump past ICE in the point standing. At Oaklawn you need to be cheering for American Pharaoh and Far Right to hit the board, as they are already ahead of us in the point standings. The folks who know the most about the point standings have very high confidence that ICE will be in the Derby starting gate. Me? I just stay nervous.

ICE has settled in at Churchill Downs and he loves the surface, just as he did last year.

PUCA is also settled in at Churchill where she will start in the Kentucky Oaks Friday, May 1.

FINNEGAN'S WAKE is likely for the Woodford Reserve Stakes Derby Day, which would give our little stable that could be the chance of having horses in ALL THREE of the big races Derby weekend.
