Leaning Haskell

One of the topics I have been most consumed with for the past ten days is whether to send Keen Ice to the Haskell (against American Pharoah) or the Jim Dandy.

This has involved studying the likely fields (larger and deeper at Jim Dandy), the racing surfaces (would prefer to run on Saratoga surface to Monmouth, from speed favoring standpoint) and the financial return.

Because travel requires you all have some lead time, I wanted to let you know we are leaning strongly to the Haskell. Please do NOT forward this email to others or discuss it outside the "family" as things could still change.

Bottom line: $200K for second place at the Haskell which could come up light. We will also get a lot of attention for taking Pharoah on again. And who knows, one of these days he just might not show up :).

The Haskell is Sunday, August 2. Let us know right away if you want to be on the ticket list.
