Hay, What's Your Name???

January 20, 2015

Dear Partners and Friends,

I can't say enough for this year's naming committee. They have been thorough, creative and successful.

Below you will find the approved names of seven of our eight colts. The eighth (Harlan's Holiday) has been submitted, but we are waiting to hear back. So here you go:

Sire

Broodmare

Broodmare Sire

Name

Candy Ride

A.P. Double Cat

A.P. Indy

Oatfield

Oatfield is the name of a "candy" company that operated in Donegal for many years.

Harlan's Holiday

De Aar

Gone West

PENDING

Hard Spun

Last Song

Unbridled's Song

Shut the Box

Shut the Box is a board game often played in Irish Bars. Some think it has other meanings as well.

Malibu Moon

Perfect Cause

Giant's Causeway

Donegal Moon

On clear nights the night sky Moon reflecting off the Atlantic is said to be incredible in Donegal.

Curlin

Royal Tigress

Storm Cat

Paschal

This is the colt that was born on Easter morning, as his Mother died during childbirth. The Paschal mystery

at Easter time gives rise to the name. The literal meaning of Pasch or Paschal is "passing" as in passing by or

passing over. A horse that passes by the others is not all bad ;).

 Paddy O'Prado

 El Prado

 Prized

Paddy O'Prodigy

 Unbridled's Song

 French Dip

 Speighstown

Tradfest

Tradfest is a huge music festival held each year in Dublin. Which is where Speightstown won horse of

the year honors his three year old year with a victory in the Irish Derby. We also liked the play on words

if you change Tradefest to Treadfast.

Stormy Atlantic

Bells Are Ringing

Sadler's Wells

Ballagh Rocks

Ballagh Rocks is one of the many lighthouses on the (often stormy) Atlantic that has lights and loud bells.

We hope you enjoy the new names and we will let you know as soon as the final name is approved.

Jerry (On behalf of a terrific committee!)
