Cleburne to go in Ohio Derby!

Dear Partners and Friends,

In a late/near game-time decision, the Donegal Brain Trust (such as it is ;)) decided only this morning to enter Cleburne in the $300,000 Ohio Derby this Saturday at Thistledown Racetrack in Cleveland, Ohio.  Cleburne will break from the #7 hole in a 12 horse field with Thistledown's leading rider, L.A. Gonzolez in the irons.  Post Time for the 8th Race is 4:25 EDT, 3:25 CDT.

Cleburne will have to carry 124 pounds while 10 or the other 11 will carry 116.  A big disadvantage. Still, Cleburne needs a race and so we are bringing him back in what is admittedly a tough spot. Don't bet all of your lunch money.

The alternative for Cleburne is a NW of 2 other than Allowance and there he would face older horses, which is surely no bargain this early in the year.

Important: If you want to join us in Cleveland this Saturday let us know immediately so we can make arrangements.  Rumor has it Thistledown is not quite like ASCOT ;).
