Keen Ice works for Belmont

Dale Romans-trained Keen Ice, a potential Triple Crown spoiler for American Pharoah, posted his second timed workout Thursday in as many weeks at Churchill Downs.

Owned by Donegal Racing and targeting the June 6 Belmont Stakes, the Curlin colt moved six furlongs in 1:15 over the Churchill dirt, the only horse to drill that distance Thursday.

Keen Ice ran ran seventh in the Derby and enters the Belmont with shipping experience to New York having also competed in last year's Remsen Stakes at Aqueduct.
