What's in a Name?

December 14, 2016

Dear Partners and Friends,

As the holidays approach it is a great time to reflect on names for our DDIX squad of soon to be two year olds.

Importantly, Frank Smith says we have never had a group as solid from top to bottom as DDIX. Frank got me so fired up that I am planning a trip to Elloree to see them in January. We will do our usual breeze show in the spring.

In the meantime, your naming committee will be having a meeting within the next two weeks. We hope you will look over the pedigrees/hip numbers in the chart below and send us your best ideas! The naming committee will name at least two horses in the next call.

Reminder: Irish, stallion sounding (except for the filly of course) and humor works.

And finally, the question of the hour has been who's silks was PUCA wearing in her victory? Apparently, NYRA has a new rule that you can only run in logo'd silks if you are in a stakes race. Bill said the silks without a logo had been in the silks room and then one of the other trainers took them. We WILL get to the bottom of all this ;).
