Great News Times Two!

August 7, 2014

Two items of positive Donegal news to share today.

First, I am naming Conor Crawford Vice-President of Donegal Racing.  Conor just graduated with honors from Darley Flying Start, the world's premier graduate program in horse industry/racing management.  (The same program Conor Foley graduated from).

Conor's duties will simply formalize what he has done since the syndicate's inception: serving as my principal adviser. Conor helps tweak the algorithms each year and is the only other person who knows how they work. Conor's compensation will be paid by me directly and he will serve at no cost to Donegal partners.

Conor will begin study at Virginia Law School this fall but will continue his consulting activities simultaneously.

Second, I am excited to report that Danny Boy ran a 12 on the sheets in his first race. An incredibly good number for a first start/two turn race. As in, the kind of number that often leads to a Breeders' Cup on the board finish. We don't want to get too far ahead of ourselves but all indicators point to a star in the making. We have already had attractive offers for him and if we get one we believe is worth considering, all partners will be consulted.

Now, tune in to Brother O'Connell this afternoon and let's let the good times continue!

Jerry
