Disappointing But Could Have Been Worse

September 10, 2016

Dear Partners and Friends,

Yesterday we learned that IRISH FREEDOM sustained an injury to his P-1 also know as his Proximal Phalanx or "long pastern bone".

Here is the good news: no surgical intervention will be required and IRISH will return to full strength with turnout. He will miss the Breeders' Cup but be back in time to make noise in the three year old races.

A very disappointed Bob Baffert estimates he will be back walking with weight on him in 45 days and return to training two weeks after that.

In the category of the Lord giveth and the and the Lord taketh away Todd Pletcher was over the moon with the KEEN ICE breeze yesterday.

Todd said as good as the breeze was the gallop out was even better.

We are deep in Keeneland Yearling sales work and we will have more to report soon. Horses sell on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday followed by a dark day Thursday and then full bore again beginning Friday.

Jerry
