Back Where We Belong!

I.  Irish You Well and Wayne Catalano have Donegal Racing back where we are used to being!

Irish ran a bang up race in winning the Long Branch Stakes Saturday and earned a 98 Beyer for his efforts which just happens to be a better number than California Chrome ran in winning the Kentucky Derby!

Off the strength of that victory Irish will most likely head to the Million Dollar Grade I Haskell on Sunday, July 27 at Monmouth.  We will also nominate for the July 26, $600,000 Grade II Jim Dandy at Saratoga and take a look at how both races stack up.

We will have a gathering for whichever race we enter so stay tuned for details.

II.This just in!  Finnegan's Wake will run in the Arlington Handicap THIS SATURDAY, July 12.  Plans are just now underway but we will have a big gathering at Arlington. There is a 50-50 chance O'Prado Ole could also run at Arlington Saturday.  

Let Alex (office@donegalracing.com) know immediately if you plan to attend either or both of the above and let us know how many of you there will be.  We need to know by Wednesday for the Arlington races. 

III.Saratoga housing

We have rented a smaller house in Saratoga and only from August 1 to 19.  This covers both sales periods which are August 1 to 11.  Last year we had fair attendance at the house but not enough to justify a large house for the entire meet. We have two extra rooms for August 11-19.  Please let us know if you would like to stay during that period.

The Donegal box is available for your use between July 18 (opening day) and July 28.  Let Alex know if you would like to use the box on any of those days.

If you plan to be in Saratoga please let us know when so we can make social plans. We will host one or two parties during the meet and let you know those dates soon.
