Albaugh Family Stables and Donegal Racing's Awesome Road vied for the early command through swift opening fractions before outdueling a stubborn rival down the lane. He surged to the wire a convincing 2 3/4-length winner in a sharp 1:10.80 for the six furlongs. Trained by Brad Cox, the Quality Road colt earned one of the highest Equibase Speed Figures of any 2-year-old to win over the weekend with a 93. |

Donegal Racing claimed their first ever victory in Ireland on June 5th. Stable member, Hotrocket, won a seven furlong handicap at Gowran Park Racecourse. The result wasn't in doubt as the 9/4 favourite readily moved two and a half lengths clear by the winning post. This was a longtime goal of the partnership to expand into Ireland and we are excited for Hotrocket to make his next start at either Ascot or Curragh. |

The now 9-year-old and newly gelded son of Arch began his career as a 3-year-old and went on to stack up six wins in graded stakes company, along with over $3 million in earnings for trainer Brad Cox and owners Donegal Racing and Joseph Bulger. He retired in October of 2022 with a record of 9-9-2 from 39 starts. |
